Startups and entrepreneurs make significant contributions to a nation’s growth by fostering innovation, creating new jobs, and driving economic growth. They are the driving force behind disruptive technologies, services, and products that have transformed various industries, from healthcare and finance to transportation and entertainment.
In a bid to bolster entrepreneurial triumph in Maharashtra, the state government has partnered with the prestigious Cornell University, to establish the Cornell Maha60 Accelerator Program. This year-long, part-time program is specifically designed to equip entrepreneurs with essential business skills, instill a growth-oriented mindset, and provide them with a platform to learn from esteemed Cornell faculty & industry experts and connect with other like-minded founders, business owners and entrepreneurs across industries, also providing access to capital raising opportunities.

Who Should Enroll?
- Candidate must be a domicile of Maharashtra
- Education Qualification: Graduates in any field from a recognised university or equivalent
- Existing entrepreneur with 1 year minimum experience running a startup/business
- The Business Accelerator Programme also encourages women applicants and applications from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribe
- The application criteria can be waived at the sole discretion of the selection committee chaired by the Honorable Development Commissioner, Department of Industries

Meet the Faculty Director

Allan M. Filipowicz
Faculty Director, Cornell Maha 60 Clinical Professor of Management
Allan Filipowicz is a Clinical Professor of Management at Cornell University’s Johnson School, where he teaches Managing and Leading Organizations (recently winning a Best Core Faculty award), Executive Leadership and Development, and Negotiations. He has taught executives across the globe, from Singapore to Europe to the US, with his most recent clients including Medtronic, Bayer, Google and Harley Davidson. Professor Filipowicz received his Ph.D. from Harvard University. He holds an MBA from The Wharton School, an MA in International Affairs from the University of Pennsylvania, and degrees in Electrical Engineering (M.Eng., BS) and Economics (BA) from Cornell University.
